How to make a fun and useful Mason Jar Teacher's Gift for back to school

Recently, I got the chance to post over at my friend Steph’s blog, The Silly Pearl. If you don’t follow Steph’s blog yet– you should. She is an amazing crafter and seamstress and she seems to have an endless supply of awesome ideas!

My kids are starting school today, so I thought it would be fun to make a Mason Jar Teacher Gift.

Supplies: Wooden Ruler Box (from Michaels), 3 pint sized Mason Jars, Yellow Acrylic Paint (this is DecoArt Americana in Bright Yellow), and Chalkboard Spray Paint. I also used a chalk pen, yellow ribbon, a mason jar tag (also from Michaels) and a straw.

Step 3: Use the chalk pen or regular chalk to label the jars. Check out the school supply list for your kid’s class and buy a few extras to help out the teacher!

Step 4: Tie a bow around the neck of the jar.

Step 5: Make a little sign with whatever tag you have and a straw. Just write on the tag and tape it to the straw. How to make a fun and useful Mason Jar Teacher's Gift for back to school

That’s it! Hopefully you will brighten up your child’s teacher’s day and make their live a little easier with these extra supplies.
