Eight Crazy Nights

Being a Catholic gal married to a Jewish guy means doing a December Daily (a project that I love) alone is not enough.  Even though it's called a "December Daily" not a "Christmas Daily" it just feels Christmasy to me.  

Maybe it's the Catholic guilt.  Or the Jewish guilt.  Or maybe it's the challenge of finding fun products that can be used for Hannukah.  The end result was that I felt compelled to make a separate Hannukah book last year.  

Here it is– before the photos and journaling were added.  It really did turn out to be a holiday to remember.  The kids and I went to downtown Seattle during a raging snowstorm to stay in the Westin. On the second night we got trapped in the elevator with the alarm blaring and the Seattle Fire Department had to rescue us.  But here's what the book looked like before all the excitement:

Page 1.  The black number 1 is from Elle's Studio.  I can't recall what company makes the striped patterned paper.

Pages 2 and 3.  I think the envelope was from Paper Source and the textured paper was Doodlebug. 

The journaling spot is from Elle's Studio also.  The numbers 2 and  are both American Crafts Thickers.

Back of Page 3 and Page 4.  The back of page 3 paper is from Doodlebug.  The Lucky Bingo card is Jenni Bowlin.  The white border strip is Bazill.  The number 4 is American Crafts Thickers.

Back of page 4 I think it might be paper from Autumn Leaves.  The business card plastic sheet is from Staples.  The "Miracle" card is from Paper Source.  The number 5 from is Elle's Studio.  The blue and white journaling spot is Jenni Bowlin. The rub-on number six is Daisyd's.  And that cute striped paper is Scenic Route.  They recently closed up shop (sigh) which is too bad because they made great products.

More Doodlebug paper and Thickers.  The scalloped punch used behind the number 7 is from Stampin' Up.

I am pretty sure the striped paper is Doodlebug. The number eight was brought to you by… actually I can't remember.  Sorry number 8!  The present flash card was something I picked up at the Farm Chicks Show in Spokane.  The snowflake transparency is another mystery product although there are tons of similar transparencies out.  The paper holder is from Making Memories.

There you have it.  This year I am working on a collaborative project called "A December to Remember." I got the phrase from my favorite local scrapbook store:  Lasting Memories.  My goal is to incorporate Hannukah and Christmas and all the joyful zaniness that comes along with celebrating two major holidays a couple of weeks apart.
