Leprechaun Candy Hats
Leprechaun Candy Hats Surprise Craft
Leprechaun Candy Hats are a fun way to recycle plastic potato chip containers, plus they’re just plain cute. The bad news is you “have” to buy some Pringles (kidding! Pringles are the best).

If you need a craft for classroom St.Patrick’s Day party, this is a good one.
When I was munching on some chips the other day, I found myself admiring the plastic container. I turned an empty one over and thought it kind of looks like a hat.. and this idea was born.
Supplies: Pringles (lunchbox size containers)
paper trimmer (similar) or scissors and a ruler
green acrylic paint and paintbrush
gold coin candy (similar)
circle template (a small bowl works great)
First paint the plastic containers… yes it works! The paint stays on.
Trim the foam to 1″.
Wrap the foam around the containers.
For the buckle: Cut a square of gold paper 1 ” by 1″. Cut a square of foam 1/2″ by 1/2″.
Place it in the middle of the gold square and add it to the foam band with a glue dot.
Trace around a small bowl on the green paper to make the brim and cut it out.
Fill the container with coin candy.
Use mini glue dot to attach the container to the green circle.
What a fun surprise when your friend discovers this darling hat is filled with candy. It’s sure to bring good luck!
This is such a fun craft and I love that it reuses something that most would throw out. Thanks for sharing this on Merry Monday. Pinned.
