Patriotic Splatter Mason Jars

DIY Patriotic Splatter Mason Jars, great for 4th of July entertaining.

I so enjoy all the red, white and blue projects this time of the year! I never get tired of this color combination. It’s even prettier when you use Chalky Finish Paint!

First, check out these other Patriotic Ideas from the DecoArt Core Bloggers:

Supplies: Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint in Romance (red),  Everlasting (white),  and Legacy (blue). You’ll also want to grab some Mason Jars, fun patriotic embellishments and… an old toothbrush!

Step 1: Paint the jars (I did three coats of paint).

2. Using an old toothbrush, dip it into a contrasting paint color and flick the paint on the jar.

3. Add embellishments (like the pinwheels and flag) and succulents or other plants.

I really like the way the blue stands out from the red on this Mason Jar. It’s so striking! DIY Patriotic Splatter Mason Jars, great for 4th of July entertaining.

And the red on blue is so lovely too.

And this one has it all– red, white and blue!
