Hi Friends!

I love cupcakes as much as the next girl, but baked doughnuts are also an easy and delicious treat.

Doughnuts

Baked Mini Cake Doughnuts

Wilton Mini Doughnut Pan (find it here)

1 1/4 cups cake flour sifted

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup buttermilk

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 1/2 teaspoons butter, melted

Directions

Preheat oven to 425. Spray Mini Doughnut Pan with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Add buttermilk, egg, and butter and stire until just combined. Fill each doughnut cup approximately 1/2 full.

Bake 4-6 minutes or until the top of the doughnuts spring back when touched. Let cool in pan for 4-5 minutes before removing. Finish the doughnuts with glaze or sprinkles.

Vanilla Glaze

1 cup confestioner's sugar

1 tablespoon milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a small bowl, stir together sugar, milk and vanilla extract until sugar is completely dissolved. Use immediately to glaze doughnuts.

These sound delicious. I’ll have to see if I can make them gluten free since my daughter is allergic.
Would love to see you DIY Home Sweet home.
