Bioque Skincare Review
This post is sponsored by Bioque. All opinions are my own.
Hi Friends! When I was recently offered the opportunity to review some skincare products… I was intrigued. You see, it wasn’t just any skincare line– it’s Bioque.
Bioque’s philosopy isn’t as about “covering up.” According to the company’s website:
“A scientific approach is at the core of Bioque’s skin care philosophy with a goal of developing cosmetic products that are more than coverups. They are, in fact, designed to employ your own skin’s natural processes to improve the skin’s appearance. As a result, wrinkles and fine lines appear less visible, giving the appearance of more youthful skin.”
Who doesn’t want younger looking skin, right? But there are SO many products out there… it takes something big to get my attention… like an endorsement from Vogue Magazine– which Bioque has! Their most popular product, Serum XL was named by Vogue as “Serum of the Stars,” due to it’s popularity with celebs. Serum XL was also named as “The hottest beauty product in Hollywood” by Elle Magazine. OK sounds like it’s worth a go!
Bioque Serum XL: The Serum is XL is meant to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles… so I was eager to try it. The consistency is like lotion, not too thick or too thin. I personally like that there is no perfume or scent. According to the directions for use, you pat and dry your skin and then apply a small amount, using patting and smoothing movments and then wait a couple minutes before applying makeup or anything else.
The package directs you to use it morning and night until you see visible results, then once daily to maintain. In my opinion, the Serum feels good on the skin and you don’t need to use much of it. After repeated use, the Serum XL does seem to reduce to look of small wrinkles. Although this product is designed for the face, the product packaging also explains it can be helpful on other areas of concern like the back of the hands, neck and upper chest area.
Because of the price point, and the fact that since I am in my early forties I don’t have too many deep wrinkles YET, I personally would probably save it for my face, especially the area around the eyes. If you have wrinkles that aren’t too deep but are visible, I think Serum XL would be a good thing to try.
Bioque Pronto: Pronto is billed as an “instant wrinkle visibility zapper.” According to company literature, “Incredible botanicals zing lines out. zoom plumper skin in” and it can last up to 12 hours at a time. This product is meant to diminish the appearance of forehead creases, droopy brows, crow’s feet, stress furrows, laugh lines, feather lips and even stretch marks and acne scars. Pronto is designed to be applied after Serum XL and before moisturizer or foundation.
Following the package instructions, I applied Pronto to my crow’s feet area. Like Serum XL there isn’t any fragrance, which to me is a good thing. The consistency of Pronto is thick and it comes with a small applicator. As soon as I put the Pronto on my crow’s feet, I could feel something happening, it’s a little tingly feeling. It also gives a tiny bit of sheen to the area which is not a bad thing.
If you have crow’s feet (or something else that Pronto is meant for) and you aren’t interested in getting an injection(!) you may want to try Pronto and see if it plumps up that problem area.
Vitamin K1: Bioque’s Vitamin K1 was created to tackle “everything– from varicose veins to skin redness.” It’s also formulated to help diminish the appearance of bruises, scars, varicose veins, age spots, dark circles, skin redness, hyper-pigmentation and stretch marks.
Vitamin K1 was the only Bioque product in whichI detected a scent– a clean fresh scent that does not spell “perfume-y.” I have dark circles under my eyes so I was interested to see if the K1 would help. I did see some improvement with my under eye dark circles… and anything that can make me appear less tired (emphasis on appear) I think is worthwhile.
Formula 9 Firming Gel: Formula 9 is touted by Bioque as a firming “facelift-in a-jar.” According to company literature, “Power peptides penetrate with firming and tightening gels to quickly reduce the visibility of lines, shed sags and banish bags.” This product is advised for the forehead, eyelids, neck, jaw and even arm and chest areas.
There is no detectable scent. Although it’s billed as a “gel” it feels more like a thick lotion. If you are starting to feel the effects of gravity (or see them), I think this might be a good option for you.

You lucky girl you! I love just about anything beauty related ~ creams, masks, makeup ~ you get the idea. I would be over the moon giddy to test this product. It sounds absolutely wonderful. To be honest, I had never heard of it but now it is definitely on my radar for future skin care needs {I stocked up a bit ago but as soon as I start running low, I’m checking this product out).

Malia, the bioque products sounds great. I’m particularly interested in the Pronto, since I have some facial wrinkles I’d love to zap, especially since I’m freaked out by the idea of injections.
