The start of a new year is a great time to get organized. Picture frames are a simple and inexpensive way to help you get things in order! Here are 5 Ideas for Organizing with Frames.
Family Organizer Frame
A pretty Family Organizer Frame is a great way to remind everyone in the family what’s happening this week.
Supplies: Large “multi-frame” frame (our is called “The Lifestyle Collection” and it’s from Sierra Pacific Crafts. You’ll also need 4 sheets of double sided scrapbook paper (we used “Fresh Cuts” by Basic Grey in Bluebell Boutique, Gardenia Row, Morning Glory Market, and Tulip Field. Grab some letter stickers (our our Thickers from American Crafts in “Wonder.” You’ll also need scissors, a rule and a black dry erase marker. All craft supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions:
1. Remove the paper inside the frames. Using them an templates, trace and cut out the same shapes on the scrapbook paper. You can also use a ruler to get straight lines.
Tip: Make sure you use both sides of the double sided scrapbook paper.
2. Place the scrapbook paper in the frames.
3. Add letter stickers on top of each frame for the days of the week.
4. Add appointments, meetings, etc on glass with a dry erase marker.
5. Hang and enjoy!
Fabric Organizer Frame
Keep important notes or photos within reach with this Fabric Covered Frame.
Supplies: We used a 6 x 6 Photo Frame, a package of 6 x 6 cork squares (our is from Darice). A piece of fabric at least 9 x 9 inches and map pins. You’ll also need a stapler. All craft supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions:
1. Remove glass and cardboard from frame.
2. Wrap fabric around two cork squares and staple the fabric into place.
3. Put fabric wrapped cork in frame.
Chicken Wire Frame
This chicken wire frame is a fantastic way to organize small items!
Supplies: Open backed 11″ by 14″ frame (ours is from Sierra Pacific Crafts). Also pick up a 11″ x 14″ piece of wire mesh (this one is by Paper Accents). And finally, grab a package of pretty polka dot clothespins (also from Sierra Pacific Crafts) and a stapler or hot glue. All craft supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions:
1. Place wire mesh inside frame.
2. Secure with staples or hot glue.
3. Use clothes pins to hang whatever you need to.
Magazine Rack Frame
Liberate your magazines from collection dust and put them on display!
Supplies: One 12 x 12 open back frame (this one is from Sierra Pacific Crafts). A package of 12″ wooden dowels (these are by Loew Cornell), black acrylic paint, a pencil, a ruler and hot glue. All craft supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions:
1. Paint dowels to match frame. Let them dry.
2. Flip the frame over. Use a ruler to mark where you want the dowels (these are two inches a part, but add as many as you like).
3. Use to hot glue to attach the dowels to the frame.
Kid’s Cork Board Organizer
Keeps the kiddos on track with this cork board organizer.
Supplies: A 12″ by 12″ frame. a 12 x 12 cork square, patterned tape (ours is a rainbow pattern from Ducktape) and letter stickers (“Thickers” by American Crafts). All craft supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.
Directions:
1. Remove glass and cardboard from frame.
2. Adhere tape around outside of frame and on top of frame.
3. Use patterned tape to make a line down the middle of cork.
4. Add names with letter stickers.
5. Place cork in frame.
Frames are something I have A LOT of!!! Loving all these ideas :)
