Amazing Avengers Party Ideas
My family and I are so excited for May 1st, that’s the day that the much anticipated film MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron will burst onto movie screens! To get ready for the big release, my kiddos and I invited some of their pals over for an Amazing Avengers Party. We had such a blast preparing for it. First stop, Walmart, HQ for all things Avengers!
In the Crackers section at my local Walmart, we found Avengers themed Cheez-Its!
Gosh I love Cheez-Its!
We picked up a few boxes!
Then we hit the chip aisle to find a treasure trove of Avengers-themed Doritos products.
Including Spicy Nacho Doritos…
Chile Limon flavor, and…
Jacked! There were so yummy choice– we couldn’t choose… so we bought them all.
At the end of an aisle, we made another fantastic discovery…
Avengers Assemble Fruit Snacks! And with all these cool snacks, we knew we needed a drink too…
How about Avengers themed Dr. Pepper products!
Neat, right! But the fun didn’t even come close to ending there. We also snagged some awesome Avengers party supplies and toys that the party guests would have a chance to win (more on that later).
Once had some wonderful Avengers themed food choices in hand (or should I say “in cart”) we made a list of everything we wanted to do to make this party a big success!
Tips for Hosting an Amazing Avengers Party
1. Buy Avengers themed food products at Walmart
2. Score Avengers movies at Walmart for a movie marathon! Here are the titles in the series: Iron Man 1, 2, & 3; Captain America 1 & 2, Thor 1 & 2, The Incredible Hulk, and The Avengers.
3. Grab Avengers party supplies and toys at Walmart.
4. Create printables for the party, including an Avengers Trivia Game.
5. Make fun Avengers themed food.
6. Decorate!
7. Have fun with our guests.
We headed home to get set for the soiree. Here are some of the phenomenal purchases we made at Walmart:
So much fun! The kids went to work making an Avengers Trivia Game and I typed it up for them, along with some other printable party elements like cupcake toppers.

All this party planning was making us hungry! We decided to create a kid-friendly “main dish” recipe for out our party. We named it “By Thor’s Hammer Chicken Bites.” Yeah they make look like chicken strips to us mortals, but on Asgard, the people are BIG and so are the chicken bites!
Ingredients
1 lb of chicken, cut into strips approximately 2 inches wide. 2/3 cup of Original Bisciut Mix, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese, 1 tsp garlic salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp ground cumin , 1 egg slightly beaten, 3 tbs melted butter.
Note: This recipe is NOT spicy at all, the chili powder just adds some flavor.
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with tin foil and spray with PAM.
1. In a large Ziploc bag, mix the Biscuit, parmesan cheese, garlic salt, pepper, chili powder and cumin.
2. Cut the chicken into 2 inch strips.
3. Dip the chicken in the egg and then place in the bag and shake. The dry mixture will adhere to the chicken.
4. Place on cookie sheet. Repeat with all the chicken strips.
5. Drizzle the melted butter over the chicken.
6. Bake for 20 minutes. I like to cut one open to make sure they’re cooked all the way through before removing them from the oven.
It was time to get the room where the little superheros would eat lunch ready.
We make Ultron’s Ultimate Smoothies by combining vanilla yogurt, blueberries and strawberries in the blender.
The Avengers fruit snacks were in easy reach…
As where the Doritos Jacked…
And the other snacks.
By Thor’s Hammer Chicken Bites were the centerpiece of the buffet…
Mini cupcakes look “MARVEL”ous with the free printable cupcake toppers…
And the kids and I made some treats too! These chocolate cupcakes were frosted with black icing (just add black food coloring to chocolate frosting), then we added black licorice for legs and candy eyes to make these (drum roll please) Black Widow Cupcakes!
It’s cool how little homemade touches can make a party special.
That was our Amazing Avengers Party Spread. It was so fun working with my kids to set everything up.
As a final festive touch, we set the table with a chalkcloth tablecloth and left a little glasses with chalk on the table so the kids could draw and color while they ate and visited. We also left a paper mask at each place setting so the kids could dress up a bit.
Then all we had to do is pop The Avengers movie in the DVD player and wait for our guests to show up and chow down.
We ended up with a dozen kids total so we left them eat in shifts… ladies first!
And of course they loved the masks!
Here’s a shot of the Superhero Girls:
POW! BAM! SMASH!
Then it was time for the dudes to get their lunch.
The goofballs had a blast!
They enjoyed all The Avengers themed food.
And the masks!
Then the kids did The Avengers Movie Trivia Quiz to win prizes like Avengers action figures.
It was time to watch the show! All in all, it was a SUPERHERO of a party! Are you thinking of throwing your own Amazing Avengers Party? Then you should download this app!
The Superheros Assemble App
Super Heroes Assemble is available in the iTunes and Google Play store!
Who’s your FAVE?
I hope you enjoyed our Amazing Avengers Party Tips. Who is your favorite Avenger? Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Hulk, Black Widow… or someone else? Leave me a comment and let me know! Mine are Thor and Black Widow.
What fun! You guys got all kinds of fun things at Walmart! Those Doritos chips are making my mouth water, especially the Jacked ones. I think I need some RIGHTTHISMINUTE! #client
