How to Throw a Great Graduation Party, tons of tips and cool ideas!

Looking for fun and easy ways to honor your favorite grad? I’ve got some great tips to share with you!

1. A Fun and Festive Backdrop

Welcome your grad and his or her guests with a fun and festive photo backdrop. You can find pre-made tassels and tassel kits at craft stores, or it’s easy to make your own. Use bright citrus colors or go with their school colors.

Next, create a sign out of card stock (either handwritten or using your computer) and attach it to a wooden dowel. You can  create signs with sayings like “Class of 2015,” “I Did It!” or “New Grad” and leave them out for party guests to use in selfies or group photos.

2. Have a Meaningful Activity

If you’re not into free bingo games, here’s another fun activity than will break the ice as well as make a meaningful keepsake for your grad to treasure for years to come. Leave the wooden pieces of a Jenga game out, along with some black permanent ink markers and a sign encouraging people to share their favorite memory of the graduate. Your guests will have a wonderful time reminiscing and chatting about their memories. But the best part is, long after the party ends, the guest of honor will have a lasting reminder of happy times with friends and family.

4. Say it Loud and Proud

New grads are loud and proud about their accomplishment, and their grad party decor should be too.  You can find large mylar balloons at your local party store. Buy the numbers for the year of the graduation (like 2015) and have them blown up. Your guest will love posing with them for photos and you can use them as decor as well.

5. Make a Personalized Wall Hanging

You can make a sweet, personalized wall hanging in no time. You just need a long dowel, fishing line and twine. Print out some of your favorite photos and tape them to the pieces of fishing line. Next, tie the line around the dowel. Use a long piece of twine to hang the dowel to a hook or nail.
