Mason Jar Candle Holders

Patriotic Mason Jar Candle Holders

Glass Jars have so many uses, like these Mason Jar Candle Holders. They are easy to make and perfect for any occasion, especially Fourth of July. I shared my DIY Glam Glitter Vases recently and it got me thinking about what else can I do with glitter and glass jars.

Supplies for the Jars: Mason Jars, masking tape, acrylic paint, glitter (I used chunking blue, medium white and fine red), Mod Podge, ribbon, and large lima bean.

Step 1: Tape off the top of the jars.

Step 2: Paint the jars with acrylic paint (may take 3 coats).

Step 3: Gently remove the tape.

Step 4: Use a paintbrush to apply a light coat of Mod Podge and sprinkle glitter.

Step 5: Cut a piece of ribbon and tie a bow around the jar. Add lima beans for filler.

DIY Glitter Candles

If you’e going to make glittery candle holders, you need DIY Glitter Candles, right? Here’s how to make them.

Glitter Candles

From Clockwise

1. Supplies: Candles, Mod Podge, a paintbrush, and Epson Salt and white glitter

2. Mix Epson Salt and white glitter. If you have different types of glitter (chunky and fine) mix them both in.

3. Brush a layer of Mod Podge on the candle.

4. Quickly sprinkle the Epson Salt mixture on it and let it dry.

5. Add candle to jar.

These would be perfect for outdoor entertaining on the 4th or anytime!

The lima beans are a fun touch and they keep the candles nice and straight.
