Bottle Brush Tree Frame Decor
Bottle Brush Tree Frame Decor
I’m enchanted by bottle brush tree decor. If I see those tiny trees ANYWHERE (from the dollar store to a pricey boutique) I feel like I have to add them to my collection. Given my obsession, I enjoy coming up with new ways to use them!
If you have a couple of these cute little trees, here’s a quick decor project for you.
Supplies: picture frame, bottle brush trees, wooden letters (Scrabble® letters or letter stickers), faux foliage and faux snow in a can. I used SnoBlast from Design Master. You’ll also want to get the handy dandy glue gun warmed up.
First, remove the glass and back of the frame. If you are lucky enough to have an old currently unloved frame around– this is the perfect project for it. Glue a couple trees on the edge of the frame.
Next, twist your picks/foliage together and fuss with them until you like the way the look. Secure them to the frame with hot glue.
Add some letters.
This is the part where everything gets a light dusting of snow. Following the directions on the can, spray some faux snow on the project. A light touch is best, but if you overdue, don’t worry. While it’s wet, you can remove the faux snow and start over.
Don’t forget to give your little bottle brush trees a spritz of snow too. After about four hours, the snow is fairly dry and “stuck” on whatever you sprayed it on. I’d suggest letting your project hang out for a day or so to let the faux snow totally set.
Second to my bottle brush tree madness is my passion for faux snow! Here are a couple of “cool” (pun intended) faux snow ideas!
another fantastic project, Malia!
Thanks Sheila! I hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
How cute! I have a whole bag of those trees- now I know what to do with some of them. Thanks for a great idea!
