Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe
What do you like better – the cupcake or the frosting? I’m all about the frosting! With this simple Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe, you can elevate your everyday cupcakes into something extra special.
I found this recipe in a magazine a few years ago and I’ve made many times to frost plain vanilla cupcakes. It’s just so pretty, not to mention delicious. By the way, the edible flowers from The Works Seattle.
1 (8-oz) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup fresh strawberries
1/4 tsp almond extract
1 (2-pound) packaged confectioner’s sugar
1. Beat cream cheese and butter until creamy
2. Using a blender, puree strawberries. Add 1/3 of the puree and the almond extract to the cream cheese mixture, beating until smooth.
3. Slowly add the confectioner’s sugar, beating until smooth.
