Decorate your home for Christmas with these festive and sophisticated Christmas Decor Ideas.

Festive Christmas Decor Ideas

 Supplies: Wooden Advent Calendar Tree, 4 pieces of 12 x 12 patterned scrapbook paper, Mod Podge, acrylic paint (we used Americana Acrylic Paint in Deep Burgundy), white glitter and  vinyl numbers. All craft supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions

1. Remove the knobs from the wooden advent tree.

2. Paint the advent calendar, including the sides of the calendar and the drawers. Let dry.

3. Paint the knobs. Set aside.

4. Cut the patterned paper into squares to fit on the fronts of the drawers.

5. Use Mod Podge to glue the paper to the front of the drawers. Glue different designs in a pattern.

6. Adhere the vinyl to the front of the drawers (in order 1-24).

7. Reattach knobs (they should just pop right in).

8. Paint the sides of the advent calendar with Mod Podge and sprinkle with glitter. Let dry.

Festive Christmas Decor Ideas

Supplies: White Decor Balls, gold branch pick, buttons (for eyes), Darice Brand carrot noses, scraps of red fabric, fiberfill and small white feather boa, toothpicks, glass candle holders and hot glue. All craft supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions

1. Attach three white decor balls of varying sizes using toothpicks and securing with hot glue.

2. Cut branch “arms” and attach with hot glue.

3. Create hats by sewing (or using fabric glue) to attach two triangles. Fill with fiberfill and close. Add feather trim. Glue on snowman’s “head.” 

4. Glue on button eyes and noses.

5. Hot glue bottom ball to the glass candlestick holder.

Festive Christmas Decor Ideas Supplies: Cardboard cones, acrylic paint (we used  Americana Acrylic Paint in Deep Burgundy and gold), assorted buttons, styrofoam cords, hot glue, small wreath (from Darice), small gold tree topper star and hot glue. All craft supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions:

1. Paint the cones (may take 2-3 coats of paint but it dries quickly).

2. Use hot glue to attach the styrofoam cord to the trees.

3. Add buttons to styrofoam cord (if desired) and the small wreath, secure with hot glue.

4. Complete the project by adding a gold star on top of the tree.

Festive Christmas Decor Ideas

Supplies: Mason Jars, small trees, deer, tiny ornaments, white felt (and faux snow if desired), and hot glue and craft glue. To make “snow” on the tree, I used Mod Podge and glitter. To make the snowman in the large jar, I used three small white craft balls, a toothpick, googly eyes, orange felt, red fleece and a tiny plastic top hat. All craft supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions:

1.  Choose Mason Jars of varying sizes and small “holiday” items that fit inside.

2. Trace the jar lid on a piece of white felt. Glue felt on lid. Let it dry.

3. Use hot glue to attach figurines to the inside of lid.

*If you want to add “snow” to any of the items, brush with Mod Podge and sprinkle with glitter).

How to make the Snowman

1. To make the snowman, cut the bottom off of one of the white craft balls.

2. Use a toothpick to attach the balls together. Use hot glue to attach them.

3. Use craft glue to attach googly eyes to the snowman’s head. cut a small orange triangle for the carrot nose and attach with craft glue.

4. To create the scarf, cut a small piece of fleece and fringe the ends. Use hot glue to attach it to snowman.

Supplies: Wood Christmas tree, white craft balls, silver star and hot glue. All craft supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions: Use hot glue to randomly attach craft balls. Glue star on top of tree. 

Festive Christmas Decor Ideas 

Supplies: Glass vase, faux white branches, green cellophane, small lights, green sparkly craft netting and hot glue. All craft supplies from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Directions

1. Place cellophane on vase

2. Add branches and arrange.

3. Double the green netting and use hot glue to stick two layers together.

4. Hot glue netting to vase.

5. Add lights.
