Shabby Chic Home Tour
Shabby Chic Home Tour
Hi Friends! I am going to share a treasured memory with you today… it’s a a Shabby Chic house tour. When I photographed this home four years ago, I was pretty new to blogging and taking pictures. I found this amazing home when I was driving down the street one day. The garden alone stopped me in my tracks and I had to meet the owners of this gorgeous place and ask for a tour.
They couldn’t have been nicer and they revealed to me that strangers would frequently pull up and ask to see the house(!) so I wasn’t alone.
The Garden
Cindy and Steve’s garden is lush and welcoming. Fun touches include mirrors placed amidst the foliage… as well as china plates!
Don’t you love the plates?
I love how Cindy finds a way to repurpose everything, even a chair!
The Porch
It’s cool to see all the beachy/nautical themed stuff.
This chippy metal chair is one of my favorite things.
What a neat idea and use for shells.
The Home
So pretty, right?
Look at all the fun stuff on the mantle…
Cindy made the flags herself!
These guys were the first people I knew that collected sand from vacation spots. I think they started the trend!
The couple collects vintage wedding cake toppers… so romantic.
The Bathroom
A towel bar for necklace storage and display… so smart!
Stacks of fun sparkly things!
The Bedrooms
Shelves double for nightstands… what a great use of limited space.
A ceiling is covered in a giant map and a chandelier adds light and shimmer in the guest room.
Details
Delicate paper flowers bloom all year around!
In the den, ribbons add whimsy to a lamp shade.
And finally, look at this sweet chalkboard that Cindy made into a sign:
Thanks, Cindy and Steve, for letting us visit your warm and wonderful home!
