“You Write Up My Life” Teacher’s Gift

You Write Up My Life Teacher's Gift #teachersgift

Can you believe it’s time for school to start? This time of year brings back so many memories for me. Growing up, my mom was a teacher. I remember how much time, energy (and her own money) that Mom invested in her classroom each year. No that I’m mom myself, I like to do what I can to help the teachers out, especially at the beginning of the year.

I decided to hit my local Office Max and do some back to school shopping… for my daughter’s teacher! My idea was to create a “Write On” Pen Caddy that Mia can give her on the first day of school.

I headed right to the pen aisle and grabbed some Sharpie, Mr. Sketch and Expo Neon Window Markers. I LOVE pens and I was so excited to make something cool for the teacher where she could store these pens.

Supplies: Sharpie, Mr. Sketch and Expo Neon Window Markers, wooden caddy, blue craft paint, white letter stickers, three Mason Jars and free printable tags.

Project Directions

1. Tape off (if you’re a nervous Nellie like me) the burlap on the caddy and paint it blue.

2. Fill up the jars with pens

Can you believe they fit perfectly?

3. After the paint dries, add letter stickers “Write On.”

4. Then print and cut the tag out. Slip some ribbon through the tag and tag it to the caddy.

LOVE! I can’t think of anything better than highlighters and sharpies for a teacher ( coming from a former teacher).
