Butterfly Bouquet in a Jar

Butterfly Bouquet in a Mason Jar, festive spring decor or gift idea

Spring is THE time for transformations: a plain Mason Jar can become a stunning Butterfly Bouquet in a Jar for spring decorating (and gift giving)! This would be a terrific hostess gift for Easter celebrations. It’s part of the Spring in a Mason Jar Event!

Butterfly Bouquet in a Mason Jar Tutorial

Butterfly Bouquet in a Mason Jar, festive spring decor or gift idea

Supplies: Mason Jar or any glass jar with smooth side, pink spray paint, vinyl, glitter paper in bright pink and turquoise, five striped straws, glue dots, rhinestone Mason Jar lid set (found at craft stores), scissors and candy. To create the large butterfly, I used a die cut machine at my local craft store. But you could also use a cookie cutter and x-acto knife or any vinyl cutting machine.

Directions

Step 1: Cut out your image and stick it on the outside of the jar.

Step 2: Spray paint the jar.

Step 3: Remove the vinyl.

Step 4: Fill with candy.

Step 5: Add the rhinestone band.

Step 6: Cut the same image(s) that you used on the jar out of glitter paper. Layer and attach to straws with glue dots.

Step 7: Type out “Have a Sweet Spring” on your computer and print (selecting an ink color that works with your project).

Step 8: Cut the straws to carrying lengths and place them in the candy.
