5 Ingredients or Less: Simple Heart Cookies
Simple Heart Cookies
Here’s somethng super simple that the kids can make with a little help. These heart cookies may be THE perfect Valentine gift for a teacher or even fab treats for the class party. And there’s only two “ingredients.”
This is SO easy!
Ingredient: White Fudge Covered Oreos, Fondant Toppers (I used Betty Crocker but Wilton also makes pre-colored fondant), a tiny heart cookie cutter and a rolling pin.
Follow package instructions on the fondant package. You basically warm the fondant in the microwave up and roll it out.
Then use a tiny heart cookie cutter to make heart shapes. Note: The Betty Crocker Fondant was supposed to come with fondant cutters but… surprise! There weren’t any in the sealed package. But a tiny cookie cutter did the trick.
Place heart in center of cookie. That. Is. It.
(Cute cupcake stand by The Cottage Market— you can find the shop on Etsy).
Now if these cookies are meant to be a teacher gift, you might want to gussy them up a bit.
You can find these glass heart containers in the glass section at your local Dollar Tree. Yep. They are a dollar. I love me my Dollar Tree.
Tag Supplies: small doilies (dollar bin at Target), clothespins and crochet hearts by Raising Up Rubies, small letter stamps and red ink. Packaging Supplies: cellophane and ribbon.
Stamp “For You” on the doily.
Add cute clothespin.
Package up cookies.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
