Seahawks Candy Bouquet

Materials: Mason Jar, DecoArt Americana Crystal Glass Enamels in Blue, brown scrapbook paper, white artist’s tape, wooden dowels, hot glue, Seahawks licensed ribbon and green tulle. You’ll also need  a styrofoam ball, candy bars, Skittles and paper towels. Craft supplies available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Instructions:

1. Pour the glass enamel into the Mason Jar and gently swirl it around.

2. Turn the glass upside down and let the paint coat the sides. Note: You will have to keep an eye on it, moving it to a new spot on the paper towel as the paint drips out.

3. When glass is dry, add Seahawks ribbon.

4. Place the styrofoam ball inside the jar.

5. Cut a piece of brown scrapbook paper 4 x 4 1/2 inches. Fold around candy bar. Make “football” laces with artist’s tape.

6. Glue the candy to the dowels and place in jar.

Hawks House Door Hanger

Materials: Wooden Football shape by Darice, DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paint in Navy Blue, Spring Green and White. You’ll also need letter stickers or a paint pen, paintbrushes (both foam and fine brushes) and Seahawks themed ribbon and stapler for hanging. Craft supplies available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Instructions:

1. Paint the wooden shape white, and let it dry.

2. Using a dabbing motion, apply navy paint to football, using photo as a guide.

3. Add green paint to football, let it dry.

4. Add stickers “Hawks” and “Home.”

5. Cut a piece of ribbon to desired length and staple to back of football.

 “12” Glass

Materials: Green Mason Jar, glass candle stick holder, Americana Crystal Glass Enamels in Blue, E-6000 glue and “12” Vinyl from Decorating Your Life. Craft supplies available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

1. Paint candle holder with glass enamel paint and let it dry.

2. Add vinyl to Green Mason Jar

3. Glue Mason Jar and candle stick holder together with E-6000 glue.

Play Football Tray

Materials: Wooden Tray, DecoArt Americana Paint in Spring Green, vinyl by Decorating Your Life. Craft supplies available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Instructions:

1. Paint tray green (make take 2-3 coats) and let dry.

2. Apply vinyl, following package instructions.

Football Treats

Materials: Football Cookie Cutter and white icing from Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond. To make treats you’ll need 3 tbsp of butter, 5 cups on mini marshmallows and 6 cups of Cocoa Puffs cereal.

Directions:

1. Spray cooking spray in a glass casserole dish.

2. Melt butter and marshmallows in a large saucepan.

3. Stir in cereal and pour mixture in casserole dish.

4. After it hardens, cut out footballs with cookie cutters.

5. Make football designs with white icing.

Seahawks Candy Jar

 

Materials: Terra Cotta Flower Pot, Glass Bowl or Beta Fish Bowl, E-6000 Glue, DecoArt America Acrylic Paint in Spring Green, and DuraClear varnish. Embellish with Seahawks-themed Duck Tape and ribbon. You’ll also need paintbrushes and Glue Dots or hot glue. Blue and green Sixlet candy. All materials available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Instructions:

1. Paint flower pot green (will take three coats of paint).

2. Paint on a layer of DuraClear varnish and let dry.

3. Use E-6000 glue to glue glass bowl or beta fish bowl to upside down flower pot. Let it set overnight.

4. Embellish with Seahawks Duck Tape and/or ribbon.

Hawks Polymesh Wreath

Materials: one roll of polymesh in blue, one polymesh wreath base in blue, scissors. Football ornaments from Darice. Craft supplies available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames in Redmond.

Instructions

1. Start with the inner circle of the wreath form. Gather together one of the ends of the polymesh. Use two of the evergreen wires, twist them around the gathered end to hold it in place.

2. Make a loop 12″ to 14″ long (you can make them bigger or smaller), pinch it together and wrap the next set of wires around it so that it forms a puffy loop.

3. Continue around the inner circle and cut off.

4. Repeat the instructions you did just on the outer circle.

5. Add bow and football ornaments.

DIY Florists’ Bow (makes a 6″ bow)

Materials: 1 1/2 yards of ribbon and 6″ length of wire or chenille stem

Instructions:

1. Loop ribbon back and forth (twisting in the middle after each loop, if ribbon is single sided).

2. Wrap a wire or chenille stem around the middle and twist.

3. Fan out ribbon and fluff.
